Attempt to integrate northern Kosovo-Metohija potentially destabilising, harmful for peace

Minister for Kosovo-Metohija Goran Bogdanovic said today that after the bombing attack against Serbs in northern Kosovska Mitrovica it is clear that any attempt to carry out Pristina’s plan to integrate the northern part of Kosovo-Metohija could produce unforeseeable consequences for peace and stability.

Bogdanovic stressed that there will be no peace in Kosovo-Metohija until Pristina restrains itself from its separatist ambitions, adding that anyone who supports this behaviour becomes an accomplice to Albanian terrorists and separatists.

We categorically told KFOR and EULEX that responsibility lies with them to prevent any attempt to change the reality on the ground. We also warned relevant factors in the international community about the consequences of such violent integration on peace and stability in the region, recounted the Minister for Kosovo-Metohija.

Asked whether he expected a wave of emigration of Serbs from the southern province, Bogdanovic declared that this will not happen.

Immediately after the terrorist attack I arrived in Kosovska Mitrovica, and I am in constant contact with the people; they have absolute trust in the Serbian state and its organs. It is important that at moments like this, Kosovo Serbs remain calm, composed and not react to any provocation, concluded Bogdanovic.
