The Statistics Office said today that a survey on employment was conducted in April on a sample of approximately 7,000 households on the territory of Belgrade, central Serbia and Vojvodina.
The unemployment rate was 19.2%, ie 18.6% for men and 20.1% of the female population.
The unemployment rate in central Serbia was 20.6%, 20.9% in Vojvodina, and 14% in Belgrade.
The employment rate for men stood at 45.5% and 31.4% for women.
The highest rate of employment is in Belgrade, 39.6%, 38.9% in central Serbia and 35.4% in Vojvodina.
