Milosavljevic told the Serbian government's official web site that the ministry's delegation spoke with Slovakian Minister of Health Rudolf Zojac and visited a number of medical institutions in Bratislava, including a leading insurance fund, the central institution for registering medicines, and a hospital for treating heart and blood vessel diseases.
Minister Milosavljevic said that one of the main topics of conversation with Slovakian colleagues was pharmacology, and the difficulties arising in the registration of medicines from Serbia in Slovakia and vice versa.
The Serbian delegation also toured the National Institute of Health Protection of Slovakia, a counterpart to Serbia's Institute of Health Protection "Milan Jovanovic Batut". The delegation members and the Institute's management agreed that these two institutes should establish a relationship, and that a Slovakian delegation should visit the Serbian institute.
Apart from Minister Tomica Milosavljevic, the Serbian delegation included Director of the Serbian Health Insurance Bureau Svetlana Vukajlovic and Assistant Minister of Health for International Cooperation Sinisa Gradinac. Ambassador of Serbia-Montenegro to Slovakia Miroslav Kopeceni also took part in the talks.
