Opatija
Labus told the Tanjug news agency that the meeting looked at the various ways of securing equal access to Croatian investors to Serbian companies and vice-versa, and ways of eliminating obstacles in the implementation of free trade agreements.
The Deputy Prime Minister said that Serbia's trade with Croatia is increasing, but it is still unfavorable, because the most exported and imported goods are intermediate.
Labus said that he spoke at the Opatija meeting about fiscal and monetary policies as well as on wages policy, the issues of debt priorities and deficits. He pointed to the outlooks of Serbia's development in the next year, because trade will depend on that.
During the day, Labus had a special meeting with Croatian Prime Minister Ivo Sanader, who will make an official visit to Belgrade next week. According to Labus, Sanader's visit will encourage further development of political, economic and financial relations between the two countries.
