The Serbian Ministry of International Economic Relations, which coordinates the international community's development assistance for Serbia, organised a donor meeting today to inform donors about actions that the Serbian government and donor community are taking to harmonise foreign aid management procedures.
The activities aim to allow for a more efficient use of foreign aid through the creation of a single information system, which the public can access at http://emis.mier.sr.gov.yu/emis, the Ministry said in a statement.
The information system will allow all interested parties to access data in the field, which will help Serbia implement its poverty reduction strategy and speed up efforts to join the European Union, the statement said.
