Dinkic, Jesic open plant for pet food in Indjija

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Regional Development Dinkic and the Mayor of Indjija Goran Jesic in Indjija put into operation today the first plant food for pets in Serbia, which will employ 100 employees and will export almost the entire production to the EU.

Dinkic and Jesic said, visiting the Italian plant Farmina Pet Foods, which is another in a series of greenfield investments in this municipality, that such investments bring new jobs.
This factory currently employs 30 new workers, and when the production doubles its capacity, it will employ about 100 workers.
Dinkic said that Serbia can in this way achieve an export-oriented model of economic growth.
We need about 100 such factories so that most of Serbia’s GDP is achieved through exports, said Dinkic.
The Minister of Economy and Regional Development said that the plant will export to the markets of the EU and the Russian Federation. Indjija has proved to be very capable of attracting new greenfield investments, he said.
