Israeli firms interested in investing in Serbia

Serbian Minister of Capital Investment Velimir Ilic is heading a business delegation on a visit to Israel where he is scheduled to meet with state officials and businessmen later today to discuss economic ties between Serbia and Israel.

The delegation has already met with officials from the Israeli Ministry of Investment, Ilic told the Tanjug news agency, noting that Serbian businessmen have also established contact with many Israeli companies interested in investing in Serbian projects.

According to the Minister, the delegation is due to meet with representatives of Africa-Israel, a company that is already present in the Serbian market and which is ready to take part in several new projects as well.

Serbian officials are also due to hold talks with several Israeli ministers, Ilic went on to say, adding that he is scheduled to meet with the Israeli Prime Minister on Thursday to conclude earlier talks.

Later today, the delegation will meet with representatives of several Israeli banks that have expressed interest in Serbian projects. Also today, officials from Serbian telecom operator Telekom Srbija are due to meet with representatives of Israeli telecom operators and communications equipment producers.
