Serbian Foreign Minister Vuk Jeremic said last night in Nis that the international community must focus on security in Kosovo-Metohija and must not allow any unilateral action from any side.

Jeremic told reporters said that the security in Kosovo-Metohija and the wider region would be drastically threatened if any unilateral steps related to the north of the province occur.
We have clearly indicated this to the international community, reminded the Minister of Foreign Affairs recalling the address of Serbian President Boris Tadic in the UN Security Council on 22 January as well as constant contacts with representatives of KFOR and NATO.
Our most important task is the protection of Serb cultural heritage in Kosovo-Metohija, and responsible for the safety of Serbs is KFOR under Resolution 1244, he said.
Jeremic said that Serbia's position is that there must be no reduction of KFOR troops in the province, and if that happens, then they must be concentrated so as to protect the Serbs, Orthodox churches and monasteries.
