In a statement to Tanjug news agency, Bogdanovic commented on the conclusions of the ISG, which has expressed support for the International Civilian Office in Kosovo headed by Pieter Feith, by saying that Serbia does not recognise the ISG.
Feith has attempted from the very start to implement Martti Ahtisaari’s plan which did not get UN approval and was rejected by Serbia, said Bogdanovic.
The biggest obstacle to better cooperation on the ground is Feith’s dual function. He is the head of the International Civilian Office as well as being a representative of the EU in Kosovo-Metohija, he said.
Feith is abusing his dual role, using one or the other function as it suits him. This kind of approach and methods result in confusion, misunderstanding and tension, remarked Bogdanovic.
The latest in a number of Feith’s reckless steps is the plan for the integration of northern Kosovo-Metohija. This plan is directed towards altering the reality on the ground, creating tensions and confusion and is a threat to regional stability, said Minister Bogdanovic.
