State Secretary of the Ministry of Economy and Regional Development Nebojsa Ciric said today that Serbian citizens who are entitled to their free shares can pick up a certificate of possession of five shares in the Serbian oil industry Naftna Industrija Srbije (NIS) from tomorrow.
Ciric specified that the total nominal value of the shares is RSD 2,500 and added that 4.8 million citizens will obtain the certificate of possession of five NIS shares and pecuniary compensation of RSD 1,700 from the sale of shares and from their portion of the privatisation register.
He said that citizens can pick up the certificates at post offices, while pecuniary compensation will be paid to the bank accounts they specified when applying for their free shares.
Ciric said that citizens who are entitled to free shares during 2010 will become owners of shares in Galenika, Telekom Srbija and Nikola Tesla airport as well.
