Restaurants and cafes, as well motels, hotels and hostels will be exempt from the ban.
The government also adopted the Bill on forests, regulating the issues of preservation, protection, maintenance, usage and distribution of forested land.
The goal of the Bill is to provide the conditions for sustainable forest management and increase the productivity of forests, their biological diversity and potential to mitigate the effects of climate change.
The government also adopted the realisation programme for the Regulatory Reform Strategy in Serbia in the period 2008–2011, as well as the decrees on measures against excessive import, subsidies and compensation measures and anti-dumping measures. It also passed the Strategy for Increasing the Participation of Domestic Industry in Telecommunications Development.
The government passed a decision demanding that the Ministry of Finance set aside funds from the budget fund for solving crisis related issues and distribute one-off assistance of RSD 5,000 to 3,700 workers from 27 companies.
It also passed the decision according to which the Serbian Health Insurance Fund and the Serbian Development Fund will sign an agreement securing funds for health insurance for 32,105 employees in 98 companies, to cover their insurance in the first half of 2010.
The government also adopted the decision to secure food parcels for the most deprived families in the 40 least developed municipalities in Serbia.
