This decision is aimed at strengthening trade relations between Serbia-Montenegro and the EU, as well as assisting the process of economic reforms in the state union, the European Commission said in the decision's explanation. Also, it is a basis for further bilateral liberalisation until the textile agreement is signed.
The Ministry voiced hope that the agreement on textile trade with the EU will be concluded as soon as possible, which will definitely abolish all EU import quotas for textile products from Serbia-Montenegro.
