Students from Kosovo-Metohija at international camp

The Serbian Ministry for Kosovo-Metohija stated today that ten elementary school children from Kosovo-Metohija will take part in an international camp in Bratislava for children from countries recently hit by war, from December 10 to 25.
According to the statement, this year children aged 7 to 16 from Serbia, Russia, Ukraine, Poland, Iraq and Israel will take part in the camp. Invitations were extended to ten war orphans with two escorts from each country.
During their stay at the camp the children from Kosovo-Metohija will have an opportunity to meet with other children in their age group from different countries and take part in various activities. They will visit museums and meet important personalities from the region. They will also have a chance to present the culture, traditions and customs of the southern Serbian province.
Dedicated efforts by the Serbian embassy staff in Bratislava and the Slovak Foreign Minister Miroslav Lajcak made this possible. The Ministry for Kosovo-Metohija procured travel and health insurance as well as the means of transport.
On their return from the camp, the children will meet with Minister for Kosovo-Metohija Goran Bogdanovic to talk about their experiences.
