HGK President Nadan Vidosevic opened the meeting, which he described as another step in improving bilateral economic relations that were established in November 2000 when the HGK organised a meeting of Serbian and Croatian businessmen in Belgrade.
Although the two countries have considerably lifted trade volume since then, there is much potential to further increase the volume, said Vidosevic.
Serbian Deputy Minister of International Economic Relations Ljubisa Jovanovic said that Serbia has created the necessary framework for attracting foreign investment, noting that the framework will also allow for improving economic ties with Croatia.
Jovanovic went on to say that the free trade accord with Croatia has taken effect in Serbia, adding that the country has introduced a number of tax reliefs for investors.
