Ciric, who visited the factory together with the ambassadors of 20 EU countries, said that work is on going to ascertain the damage caused by the fire, adding that according to Zastava the fire caused estimated damages of RSD 95 million.
He said that the costs will be covered by insurance and other sources, adding that repairs are being made and production is continuing.
He said that he hopes that production will again reach the daily level of 117 to 120 cars, as it was before the fire broke out. He announced that the annexe to the agreement with Fiat will be signed by the end of this year.
Swedish Ambassador to Serbia Krister Bringeus said that he is impressed by the high production standards at the factory, adding that the production quality bears witness to the skill of the Serbian work force.
