The statement adds that State Secretary of Economy and Regional Development Vesna Arsic and ministerial councillor at the Bavarian State Office Michael Hinterdobler will head the respective Serbian and Bavarian delegations.
The focus of this year’s committee session will be cooperation through participation in various educational programmes, trainings and special courses, as well as the exchange of experiences and an introduction to the organisation of Bavarian state institutions.
The Serbian side will convey the interest of domestic companies in establishing cooperation with Bavarian companies in industries in which Bavaria achieved excellent results and which are also a priority of Serbian economic development.
These are the car industry, electrical industry, the mechanical and metal processing sector, food processing, IT, health care and tourism.
Cooperation with Bavaria is important for overall bilateral relations with Germany, Serbia's major economic partner among EU countries, with possibly a decisive influence on the EU's further enlargement policy and admission of Western Balkan countries as full EU members.
