Vojislav Kostunica
Kostunica stressed that the outcome of the elections could be predicted objectively before they took place, adding that Serbs did not want to vote simply because it is the only right they were given in the province.
The Prime Minister said that this is not any special kind of political message that Kosovo Serbs are sending to the domestic and international public. The boycott of the Serbs conveys a unanimous message that resulted from their unbearable living conditions, the Prime Minister said. In order to vote for their political representatives, they need to enjoy the fundamental right – right to live, Kostunica said.
After these elections that failed in terms of their multi-ethnicity, the state of Serbia will carry on with its fight for achieving set and uniform goals, i.e. security guarantees for survival, normal life and return of Serbs in the province, Kostunica said.
