Serbian Minister of International Economic Relations Milan Parivodic attended a ceremony marking the launch of a €54 million production line at cement maker Lafarge in Beocin today, stressing that the Beocin cement plant takeover stands as an example of how a buyer fully met its acquisition commitments.

Lafarge Director George Bobvos said that the new production line will help the Beocin plant become one of the leading cement producers in Europe. It will also allow Lafarge workers and shareholders to increase profit and improve environmental protection for local residents, Bobvos added.
Lafarge CEO Bernard Kasriel and Vojvodina Executive Council Vice President Petar Misic also attended the ceremony.
