Bogdanovic talks with Lehne

Serbian Minister for Kosovo-Metohija Goran Bogdanovic met today with the Austrian Foreign Ministry’s Political Director Stefan Lehne.
According to a statement issued by the Ministry for Kosovo-Metohija, Lehne expressed interest in Serbia’s stance regarding the overall situation and everyday incidents in Kosovo.
They also talked about expectations of the final decision by the International Court of Justice and Minister Bogdanovic said that he is convinced that the ICJ will decide that Kosovo’s unilateral declaration of independence was a violation of international law.
Bogdanovic informed Lehne about the complicated security situation in Kosovo and the problems being confronted daily by the Serbs and other non-Albanian populations in Kosovo.
Opinions were also exchanged regarding the upcoming elections in Kosovo. Bogdanovic reiterated that Belgrade’s position is that conditions are not present for Serbs in Kosovo to participate in the elections, scheduled to take place on November 15.
He said that the Serbian President and Prime Minister made this clear far in advance in order to prevent any attempts at creating confusion or manipulation.
