The Serbian Statistics Office today stated that retail prices of goods and services in September this year increased on average by 0.3% when compared to the previous month, the prices of goods increasing by 0.2% and the prices of services by 0.6%.
In September 2009, compared to September 2008, retail prices went up by 9.5% and compared to December 2008 by 9.4%.
The cost of living in Serbia in September, compared to the previous month, went up by 0.2%
In September 2009, compared to September 2008, the cost of living increased by 7.1% and compared to December 2008 by 6%.
The prices of agricultural products went up by 0.7%. The increase was due to the seasonal shift in the prices of fruit and vegetables, while the price of fish decreased.
The price of industrial food products went down by 0.4% on average, the prices of beverages increased by 0.1%, while the price of tobacco remained the same.
The price of industrial non-food products increased by 0.5%. The prices in this group were affected by the rise in the prices of medicines and oil derivatives. The prices of other products did not change significantly.
The price of services increased by 0.6% on average.
