The Ministry says in a statement that thanks to the agreement which the Ministry closed with Petrohemija, NIS, Lukoil and other trustees, the issue of debt was successfully resolved, as well as the long-term supply of Petrohemija with oil, its main raw material.
The state has secured more than one billion dinars as support to Petrohemija, of which sum RSD 760 million will be used to start production and cover the costs of the social welfare programme.
Issues of surplus workforce and unrealistic salaries were also solved. Due to the new job classification and social programme the number of employees was reduced by 450 workers and the salaries now total RSD 150 million, instead of RSD 330 million, adds the statement.
