Minister for Kosovo-Metohija Goran Bogdanovic today stated that the fact that the temporary Pristina authorities refuse to provide an escort to people who would like to attend the ceremony of unveiling a monument erected in honour of the Serbian citizens killed in Kosovo between 1998 and 2000, to be held in the village of Velika Hoca, is unacceptable.
All of them are Velika Hoca citizens who have been expelled from their homes, he explained.
It is clear that Kosovo institutions do not respect the families of those killed and kidnapped, he said, adding that this is clear evidence on how the Pristina authorities treat non-Albanian citizens.
Such unreasonable activities can only raise tensions and encourage ethnic clashes, stressed Bogdanovic.
Bearing in mind that the situation of the families of those killed and kidnapped is hard enough, international civilian missions must do all they can to prevent Pristina from maintaining such a policy.
The Ministry for Kosovo-Metohija has already demanded that the international civilian missions, whose main aim is to stabilise the situation in the southern Serbian province, prevent the recurrence of such events, concluded Bogdanovic.
