Serbia must solve cases of missing persons in Kosovo

The Ministry for Kosovo-Metohija today voiced its regret over the loss of the many innocent lives in Kosovo-Metohija, as well as missing persons whose fate is still unknown, adding that it strongly endorses activities aimed at solving the fate of those missing and bringing the perpetrators to justice.
The statement adds that the competent organs in Serbia have shown that they are ready for and capable of facing those who committed war crimes, regardless of their nationality or religious affiliation.
Calling someone a criminal without any evidence, which is what Albanians are doing in Djakovica, is utterly unacceptable to the Ministry for Kosovo-Metohija and is strongly condemned.
Such actions do not help to calm the situation but provoke further conflicts and instability. They are also quite opposed to the generally accepted norms of civilised society and the adopted international documents on human rights.
The Ministry for Kosovo-Metohija will keep fighting for the rights of all communities in the province and at the same time invite the international community to also oppose such unacceptable behaviour, concludes the statement.
