In an interview with the Vecernje Novosti daily, Bogdanovic specified that the two sides will actually sign a protocol on technical cooperation, which can be considered as a continuation of cooperation between the Serbian and UNMIK police forces, based on the agreement from 2001.
The Minister said he is not surprised at all at the negative reaction of Albanian politicians, bearing in mind that they are doing all they can to make Kosovo an independent state.
By signing the agreement with EULEX the Serbian government clearly shows that it will never recognise Kosovo institutions, he said.
Bogdanovic stressed that good cooperation between EULEX and the Serbian police is the main precondition for preserving the rule of law in the province.
This document confirms Serbia's territorial integrity, he said, explaining that EULEX will partly take over the jurisdiction of Kosovo, which is in the interest of both Serbia and the EU.
As for the exclusion of Kosovo citizens from the visa liberalisation process, Minister Bogdanovic pointed out that Serbia will make every effort to prevent discrimination against its citizens.
