Nikolay Vassilev (L) and Mladjan Dinkic
According to Vassilev, Bulgaria, which sees Serbia is an important partner, has made every effort to improve conditions for trade, tourism and investment.
Dinkic said that the meeting focused on the construction of the Nis-Sofia motorway and possible concessions for the construction work, as well as on the introduction of direct flights on the Belgrade-Sofia line.
The Minister of Finance also noted that the talks touched on ways to boost the efficiency of both Serbian and Bulgarian customs offices in order to eliminate queues on border crossings.
The two officials agreed that the free trade agreement between Bulgaria and Serbia, which took effect on June 1, is yielding good results, adding that they expect the trade volume between the two countries to stand between $350 million and $400 million this year.
