The murder of the Petkovic couple must be highly condemned by all parties. This type of event has been happening regularly in Kosovo for the past several years, Bogdanovic said in a statement to the Beta news agency.
The Minister said that this is an ethnically motivated crime, which is why the investigation must be carried out by an unbiased group.
Bogdanovic said that it is absolutely unacceptable that since 1999 to date no crime committed against Serbs has been solved and that is why murders continue to take place.
This and similar unresolved criminal cases have inspired more crimes to be committed against the Serbs and other non-Albanians for ethnically motivated reasons, greediness or other reasons, said the Minister.
Bogdanovic said that this is also a message sent to those Serbs who remained in Kosovo, as well as to those who intend to return, that they are not welcome there.
Deputy of the regional spokesperson of the Kosovo Police Service Remzi Azemi confirmed that two persons of Serbian ethnicity, Trajanka (age 58) and Bogdan (age 64) Petkovic, were found dead in their family house in Partes.
