The Serbian government has offered guarantees for Hague indictee Ljubisa Beara who surrendered to Serbian authorities earlier this month and decided that a number of persons, due to testify in the Hague, be relieved of the obligation to keep state secrets.
As part of the session today, the government also approved bills on criminal code and penalty enforcement and forwarded them for parliament adoption. Four environmental protection-related bills were also approved.
The government also decided to set up a commission for drawing up a national strategy for managing Serbia's border control service, as well as a council for the fight against human trafficking.
It further invited the Serbia-Montenegrin Council of Ministers to sign an agreement with the Italian government to support the development of small and medium-sized enterprises through banks with majority private capital.
The government also discussed its project for long-term refugee integration in Serbia.
