Labus addressed the regional conference entitled “How to Promote Academic Exchange in Countries of the Former Yugoslavia,” organised by the Fulbright Alumni Community. He expressed satisfaction with the restoration of this programme in Serbia, adding that this will also improve bilateral relations between former Yugoslav republics.
He said that relations between Serbia and former Yugoslav republics are improving, announcing his presence at the annual meeting of the Croatian Association of Economists next month.
The two day-conference will address achieved results as well as future activities in developing international and cultural cooperation of the countries in the region. The event, dedicated to the 40th anniversary of the Fulbright fellowship programme, is also attended by 100 representatives from Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Macedonia, and other neighbouring countries, as well as representative of the US Embassy to Belgrade.
