Serbian Minister of International Economic Relations Predrag Bubalo met with officials of the US Agency for International Development (USAID) today to discuss the work of the Serbian Privatisation Agency and laws on receivership and companies.
Presenting Serbia's privatisation results so far, the Minister noted that the country has sold a number of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
He said that a new group of SMEs is due to be privatised by the end of 2005, but noted that the sell-off process is largely hampered by a lack of funding for the Privatisation Agency and financial advisors in the privatisation and restructuring process.
