The statement adds that in two cycles a total of 3,000 start up loans worth RSD 4.1 billion were approved, noting that the funds were set aside from the budget.
At today’s session of the Development Fund’s executive board the last 1,763 loans for start ups were approved, worth RSD 2.5 billion in all.
Thanks to these funds around 5,400 new jobs will be created. Having approved these last loans, the loan programme for young start ups has finished its planned activities for 2009.
In the second round, entrepreneurs received 1,245 loans, while legal persons were granted 518 loans.
The lowest amount is RSD 500,000 while the biggest stands at RSD 1.3 million.
The loans are with a one-year grace period and an interest rate of 1% and are to be repaid within five years.
In 2009, 722 applicants younger than 25 received loans, as well as 1,136 those aged 26-40.
