Swedish government donates €1.35 million to Serbian police

Serbian Minister of Interior Dragan Jocic, Swedish National Police Commissioner Sten Heckscher and Deputy Head of the OSCE Mission to Serbia-Montenegro Douglas Wake signed today a memorandum on understanding under which Sweden will donate €1.35 million to Serbian police.

This tripartite agreement is part of the three-year “Strengthening of Crime Scene Investigations in Serbia” project scheduled for completion by March 2007. The funds will be allocated through the Swedish International Development Agency (SIDA).
The project is aimed at assisting police forces in enhancing their crime scene investigation capabilities.
