Serbian legal team submits Kosovo case to ICJ

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that a Serbian legal team today submitted their legal arguments over the legality of the unilaterally declared Kosovo independence to the International Court of Justice (ICJ).
According to the Ministry’s statement, the Serbian legal team submitted two files, comprised of 350 and 600 pages, as well as a large number of maps, which prove that Kosovo independence is not in accordance with international law.
The process of assessing the legality of Kosovo’s unilateral declaration of independence was launched by the UN General Assembly, at Serbia's initiative.
Serbia is asking the ICJ whether the fact that temporary local authorities in Kosovo-Metohija unilaterally declaring their independence is in accordance with international law, concludes the statement.
