No guarantees yet for Serbs to take part in Kosovo polls

Head of the Serbian government’s Office of Media Relations Srdjan Djuric said today that despite a series of talks held so far, not even the minimum of institutional guarantees have been provided for Serbs living in Kosovo-Metohija to encourage them to take part in the upcoming provincial parliamentary elections.

Djuric told the Tanjug news agency that after the March 17 pogrom, it is clear that the international community must provide institutional guarantees, as a pre-condition for Serbs’ participation in the elections.
