Mirko Cvetkovic
Cvetkovic said that the most pressing goal is to establish permanent peace in the province and ensure full freedom for all citizens, which is one of the basic preconditions for the safety of the entire region and the foundation of the future joint life in these parts.
He stressed that the Serbian government expects UNMIK and EULEX to ensure conditions for the return of over 200,000 IDPs, help return usurped property to rightful owners and rebuild devastated homes and culture monuments.
The Serbian government, determined to defend its territorial integrity, will never recognise the alleged Kosovo independence, but will fight for its goals by diplomatic and legal means within international institutions, said Cvetkovic.
The Prime Minister stressed that the government is also trying to improve the economic position of the Serbian community in the province and create conditions for the return of IDPs.
