Ministry for Kosovo-Metohija condemns Florim Ejupi’s acquittal

The Ministry for Kosovo-Metohija today stated that it strongly condemns the fact that Florim Ejupi, sentenced to 40 years imprisonment by UNMIK, has been acquitted.
Fljorim Ejupi is responsible for the attack on the Nis express coach, 16th February 2001, near Gnjilana

According to the statement, it is unacceptable that a person responsible for the deaths of 12 people and the wounding of 22 others has been acquitted on appeal, due to a lack of evidence.
The Ministry expects EULEX to reconsider the case and show clearly that it is making efforts to introduce the rule of law in the province, concludes the statement.
