Tender for Belgrade–Southern Adriatic motorway may be announced next year

Minister of Environment and Spatial Planning Oliver Dulic today stated that the Serbian government plans to announce a concession tender for the construction of the Belgrade–Southern Adriatic motorway in 2010.

At a press conference concerning Southern Europe’s real estate market, organised by Economist Media Group, Dulic said that a final decision on the construction of the Belgrade–Ljig motorway section has not been reached yet.
The Minister recalled that the Alpina–Por concessioner has not completed financial requirements for the construction of the Horgos–Pozega motorway and the government has demanded that the concessioner pays off its debts, adding that the government will implement adequate measures if it decides to go to arbitrage.
According to Minister Dulic, these funds are now in a foreign bank and the government expects the money to be paid.
