A tender commission handling the sale of a 70 percent stake in Subotica-based electric motor producer Sever Holding Internacional AD decided on September 27 to start sell-off talks with Austria's ATB Antriebstechnik AG, the Serbian Privatisation Agency said in a statement.
The Ministry of Economy will set up a commission for direct talks with the Austrian firm, the sole bidder in the tender, the statement added.
Earlier this year, ATB Antriebstechnik AG approached the Ministry to protest a commission's decision to scrap the tender. The complaint was approved on September 3 and the commission's decision invalidated.
The Ministry also annulled a decision of the Privatisation Agency Director not to start talks with the only bidder.
