According to the statement, Serbia will take part in the fair, which comprises approximately 3,000 enterprises from 72 countries, for the third time.
The Serbian companies Agroprom, Frigonais, Nase Vreme, Prima Produkt, Select Milk, Soja Protein, Tempos and Revita will present their best products, including fresh fruit, canned vegetables, jam, marmalade and milk, soya, oat and diet products.
The Gulfood is the biggest and most important annual event regarding the food industry in the Middle East and a great opportunity for food producers and distributors from all over the world to present themselves.
Despite the global financial crisis, the export of food products in Serbia is constantly growing.
The prompt adoption and implementation of international standards and good quality of food products have contributed to Serbia’s position as one of the best and most reliable exporters in South Eastern Europe.
The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management, with the help of SIEPA and USAID, have enabled Serbian food companies to participate in Gulfood 2009.
