Government representatives do not ask Pristina for permission to stay in Kosovo

Minister for Kosovo-Metohija Goran Bogdanovic said last night that the government representatives will only ask UNMIK and EULEX for permission to stay in Kosovo, as they are the only legitimate international missions in the province, which is currently under the UN protectorate.

In a statement to the Tanjug news agency, Bogdanovic said that the Serbian Ministry for Kosovo-Metohija does not have any contact with the Kosovo government.
The Minister stressed that authorities in Belgrade and a majority of Kosovo Serbs have not endorsed Kosovo institutions, so it is unacceptable that anyone from the Serbian government asks Pristina for permission to enter Kosovo-Metohija.
As for Kosovo Interior Minister Zenun Pajaziti’s statement that the Kosovo government has forbidden the Serbian Minister to visit the southern Serbian province, Minister Bogdanovic denied rumours that he has asked for permission at all.
Bogdanovic recalled that he lives with his family in Lesak, in the municipality of Leposavic, in northern Kosovo and therefore he does not need any permission to enter Kosovo-Metohija.
