Sales contract for Novi Sad cable factory signed

The Serbian Privatisation Agency stated that the sales contract for the Novi Sad cable factory (in restructuring) was signed on January 23. The Privatisation Agency and the Share Fund signed the contract with the company East Point Holdings Ltd from Cyprus.
Basic elements of the sales contract are a price of €101,514, an investment programme of €11,376,000 and the buyer has accepted the additional obligations from the social programme besides the minimum conditions.
The company East Point Holdings Ltd had made the sole bid for purchasing 100% of the capital of the Novi Sad cable factory.
The bid was opened on August 29, 2008, at the first session of the tender commission in charge of the sale.
At its second session held on October 19, 2008, the tender commission unanimously approved the Privatisation Agency’s proposal to begin negotiations with the bidder.
At the third session held on January 22, 2009, the tender commission approved the sale of the Novi Sad cable factory.
