The Serbian Statistics Office said that the average gross salary in Serbia in December 2008 amounted to RSD 53,876, up by 14.77% in nominal terms and 15.7% in real terms against the previous month.
The average take-home salary in December stood at RSD 38,626, which is an increase of 11.96% in nominal terms and 3.76% in real terms against the average salary in December 2007.
Compared with the same month in 2007, the December gross salary rose 12.05% nominally and 3.85% in real terms.
Compared with the January-December 2007 average, the average salary in the period January-December 2008 rose 17.89% nominally and 3.94% in real terms.
