Serbian food producers at Berlin’s Green Week

The Serbian Investment and Export Promotion Agency (SIEPA) today announced Serbia’s fourth participation in Berlin’s food expo Green Week, taking place on January 16–25.

The statement specifies that the company Interfood 60 will present its mushroom products, Art Ival its confectionery assortments, Fidelnika its wheat products, Foodland and Medoprodukt their processed fruit and vegetables, while Kirka will showcase its teas and herbs. Stara Sokolova and Vocar Kopaonik will present their home-made brandies.
The Green Week expo is the key event in agrarian policy, with huge marketing and political significance, held every January to announce the main guidelines and strategic goals of world agriculture.
It has been held for over 80 years and this year around 60 countries will be present at the fair.
Apart from the exposition, an agrarian and political forum will also take be held.
Agriculture ministers and representatives from international organisations will discuss topical issues and challenges facing agriculture today.
Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management Sasa Dragin will meet with his counterparts from Austria, Ukraine, Russia and the German province of Baden- Württemberg.
The presentation of Serbian food and agriculture in Berlin is sponsored by the Serbian Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management and organised by SIEPA and the German Organisation for Technical Cooperation GTZ.
The Serbian stand is located in the main exhibition hall, together with the stands of the Netherlands, Australia, Spain and New Zealand.
