Q1 prices stable

In an interview with Radio Television Serbia, Minister of Trade and Services Slobodan Milosavljevic said that in the first quarter of 2009 prices will be stable, adding that the prices of food products will decrease.
Milosavljevic said that the prices of certain agricultural products, including flour, milk and milk products, have decreased and voiced hope that the prices of bread, milk products, pasta, confectionery, meat and meat products will also decrease by early February.
The Minister added that the government has to fulfil two main conditions, stability of the domestic currency and keeping the price of oil constant.
Milosavljevic pointed out that the government will do its best to monitor prices and encourage competition.
