Bogdanovic calls upon international community to maintain peace in Kosovo

Minister for Kosovo-Metohija Goran Bogdanovic today called upon EU and UN representatives to employ additional efforts to protect the Serb population in Kosovo-Metohija.
Because of last night’s incident, in which Nikola Bozovic was wounded near the main bridge over the Ibar in the north part of Kosovska Mitrovica, Bogdanovic called upon Serbs to ignore provocation and try to maintain peace.
He said that the incident was aimed at destabilising the Serbian community in the province, warning that this most not be allowed.
Bogdanovic said that members of the international community in Kosovo had to invest additional efforts to prevent these incidents from escalating into violence that could bring unpredictable repercussions for the Serbs in Kosovo.
Nikola Bozovic (16) was stabbed with a knife yesterday near the bridge on the Ibar River and was admitted to hospital in Kosovska Mitrovica with severe wounds.
His condition today is stable and two Albanians have been arrested on the suspicion they attacked him.
