Serbian Minister of Energy and Mining Radomir Naumov said at a conference on possibilities of regional joining in the field of energy entitled "Eastern European ties" held in Sophia, that Serbia can have an important role in the building of joint energy and legal institutions in southeastern Europe.
In agreement with his Bulgarian counterpart Milko Kovacev, Naumov pointed to the need for cooperation in the field of energy, especially in the gas sector.
A delegation from the Serbian Ministry of Energy and Mining also met with representatives from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) to discuss the possibility of crediting and building an alternative main road gas pipeline from Bulgaria to Serbia, as well as the construction of a distributional gas network in Serbian cities south from the Sava and Danube Rivers.
Naumov met with Serbia-Montenegrin Ambassador to Bulgaria Cedomir Radojkovic to discuss the need and possibility of offering support for economic activities in the field of energy, and overall cooperation with Bulgaria.
