Having attended the celebration in honour of the monastery’s patron saint, Bogdanovic stressed that the four-item plan is utterly unacceptable for Serbs in Kosovo and the rest of Serbia, as it does not envisage freedom of movement and justice, which Serbs and other non-Albanians in Kosovo-Metohija have been waiting for for 9 years.
The Minister pointed out that the only solution to enable the survival of Serbs in the province is the six-item plan, agreed upon between Belgrade and the UN.
Bogdanovic added that the purpose of his visit is also to convey a message that Belgrade and Kosovo Serbs will never accept the province’s independence.
Archbishop Amfilohije, Bishop of Raska and Prizren Artemije and prior of Visoki Decani Teodosije took the liturgy at the monastery.
Around 2,000 believers from Kosovo-Metohija, central Serbia, Republika Srpska and Montenegro gathered to celebrate the day of the monastery’s patron saint.
Minister of Religion Bogoljub Sijakovic and the Serbian President’s envoy and advisor for Kosovo-Metohija Mladjen Djordjevic also attended the celebration.
