Serbia expels Malaysian ambassador

The Serbian Foreign Ministry stated today that the Serbian government has decided to expel the Malaysian Ambassador to Serbia, Ching Hong Saw, following Malaysia’s decision to recognise Kosovo.
According to the statement issued by the Foreign Ministry the move is part of the Serbian government’s action plan.
Malaysia’s decision to recognise Kosovo at a moment when the International Court of Justice is examining the legal validity of Kosovo’s unilateral declaration of independence puts unfair pressure on the court.
Ambassador Saw is to leave Serbia within 48 hours.
