Contest for SIEPA Exporter of the Year award announced

The Serbian Investment and Export Promotion Agency (SIEPA) stated that the contest for the Exporter of the Year award has been announced, and the deadline for submitting applications is December 1.
The statement says that as in previous years, SIEPA will present awards in four categories – best exporter in 2008, best new export article, for winning new market and for the best exporter in the small and medium enterprises (SMEs) category.
The company for transport and logistics DHL Belgrade will officially sponsor the event and finance the best exporters in three categories, oriented towards SMEs, with €10,000 in services each.
Awards will be officially presented on December 10 at the Belgrade City Hall.
Winners will be chosen by the expert commission comprising Minister of Telecommunications and Information Society Jasna Matic, Assistant Minister at the Ministry of Economy and Regional Development Igor Brkanovic, Director of the Agency for Development of SMEs and Entrepreneurship Goran Dzafic, editor of the Blic Novac newspapers Mijat Lakicevic and Director of SIEPA Vesna Peric, who is also president of the commission.
SIEPA first presented this award in 2004 with the intention of making it a traditional recognition which will serve as an encouragement for new exporters to join the ranks of the best export companies in Serbia.
This year’s winners will also have the exclusive right to use the “Exporter of the Year“ logo as well.
Application form for participating in the competition for the Exporter of the Year is available at SIEPA’s web site www.siepa.gov.rs and at the agency’s premises in Belgrade, Vlajkoviceva 3.
