Ministry for Kosovo-Metohija to help soup kitchens in province

Serbian Minister for Kosovo-Metohija Goran Bogdanovic said today that the Ministry will provide help to the soup kitchen in Kosovska Mitrovica, which is due to close because of financial problems.
In a statement to the Tanjug news agency, Bogdanovic said that not only the soup kitchen in Kosovska Mitrovica, but also soup kitchens in Kosovska Vitina, Novo Brdo and other parts of Kosovo-Metohija have problems and added that the Ministry will help to make all institutions of this kind function in the province.
We want to solve the problem systematically and it is in Serbia’s interest to have all the kitchens closed as soon as possible and have people earning their own living and not receiving social help, added the Minister.
The soup kitchen in the northern part of Kosovska Mitrovica, which provides food for 60 of the most socially vulnerable persons from this town and from neighbouring Zvecane, is close to closing due to its lack of financial means.
The soup kitchen representatives invited all citizens and companies able to help to do so via the women’s society Sabor, on the account of Komercijalna Banka: 205-120054-87 in Kosovska Mitrovica.
