State Secretary at the Ministry of Economy and Regional Development Dejan Jovanovic said today in Brussels that €190 million will be provided from the EU pre-accession funds for development of Serbia’s regions.
After
the meeting with representatives of the Directorate General for Regional Policy, Jovanovic said that Serbia has good plans which have been well received, therefore Serbia will be provided €190 million out of the pre-accession funds every year.
He stressed that in the upcoming period the EU expects Serbia to strengthen institutions dealing with regional development and at the same time pass laws on regional development to enable the use of EU pre-accession funds.
The Ministry delegation attended a meeting at the European Commission in Brussels and also coordinated Serbia’s appearance at the Danube conference taking place this week in the city.
